Babcock Valves participated this May in the 21st Iran Oil Show Exhibit, held in Tehran between the 5th and the 8th.  Our company has been in Iran for 27 years now, and the prospects indicate that this market is going to be very important in the future. Babcock Valves’ stand was honored with the visit of an adviser to the president of the National Petrochemical Company (NPC) of Iran, commissioned to the Ethics in business area (as depicted in the photo).

As the managing director of Babcock Valves, José María Asín, told the Tehran Times, “Iran will play a prominent role in the world in the next decades. I think Iran will change a lot in a positive way and we have to be present here”.  Mr. Asín, who has taken part in 15 editions of Iran Oil Show, calificated this year as the best one, due to the presence of more exhibitors and the growing interest of European companies “in exploring the big amount of opportunities the country is offering now.”

Although the financial regulations still face some challenges for business, now that the sanctions period has been put to an end,  Mr Asin said this issue will be resolved and by the end of the year the situation will stabilize.
