The Morocco Oil & Gas 2014 Summit, will take place on 7th-8th May 2014 in Marrakech.

The event will present key issues, such as the geological landscape onshore and offshore Morocco, the oil and gas strategy, the legal framework, the international opening approach and more.

For the first time, a senior-levelSummit will be dedicated entirely to Morocco to highlight the country’s untapped potential and reinforce its image of anemerging hydrocarbon market.

Morocco’s oil and gas reserves remain relatively under explored, but the country, geographically close to other important oil andgas producing countries -such as Algeria, Libya or Egypt- logically presents consistent oil-rich geological characteristics.

During the past few years, the country’s geostrategic position at the crossroads of Africa, Europe and the Middle East; as well as favorable free trade agreements and recent seismic data studies; have attested that Morocco has become the new investment hub for oil and gas. The growing interest of oilcompanies in the region confirms that Morocco’s hydrocarbon assets and reserves have a lot of potential.
