Babcock Valves is once again partnering with the Spanish Nuclear Industry, this time to introduce a newly manufactured DN80 (3″) Bolted Bonnet Wedge Gate Valve. This valve has been meticulously crafted to meet the stringent requirements of ANSI Class 900#, utilizing ASME SA216 WCB material. Its design adheres to ASME Section III Class 1 standards, ensuring unparalleled quality and reliability.
Equipped to accommodate a Limitorque Electric Actuator SMB-00 (10#), this valve is engineered for optimal performance and ease of integration. During its final stages of quality assurance, the valve underwent a comprehensive Hydrotest on one of our specialized test benches. This rigorous testing process involves an initial hydrotest to evaluate the valve’s performance under pressure. Following this, the valve is disassembled to inspect the impact of pressure on the packing, particularly focusing on the integrity of the stuffing box packing rings. Once confirmed that the packing rings remain in perfect condition, the valve is reassembled and subjected to a second hydrotest to ensure it meets our high standards of performance and safety.
